Bulls defenseman Kaitchuck makes NCAA commitment
The North Iowa Bulls of the NA3HL are proud to announce that defenseman Matt Kaitchuck has made a commitment to play NCAA Division III hockey at Hamline University. Hamline is a member of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, (MIAC).
Kaitchuck from Eagle River, Wisconsin appeared in 70 games for North Iowa in his two years with the club and was a member of the Champion NA3HL Central Division Top Prospects team in 2012-13.
Matt tallied 2 goals and 19 assists and was +74 for his career with North Iowa.
"Matt is a great skating, heads up defenseman who will rely on his awareness to be an effective college player. Matt was one of our top scholar athletes and that will suit him well in his college endeavors," said Bulls head coach Todd Sanden.
Matt, along with his Bull's team mates the past two years has enjoyed quite an amazing junior hockey experience playing in back to back USA Hockey National Championship games, capturing the title in 2013.
Matt Kaitchuck is the 13th player from this years team to make a commitment to an NCAA or NAHL program.
