Former Wildcat makes NHL debut with Ducks
December 5, 2009
Former Wichita Falls Wildcats forward Dan Sexton made his NHL debut with the Anaheim Ducks in a 5-4 shootout loss to the Minnesota Wild on Friday night.
Sexton, a 22-year-old from Apple Valley, Minn., who played for the Wildcats in 2005-06, went on to play two seasons at Bowling Green State University (CCHA) before embarking on his pro career this year.
Before his callup, he skated with the ECHL’s Bakersfield Condors and the AHL’s Manitoba Moose - both affiliates of the Ducks.
