NA3EHL announces Easton Hockey Stars of the Week

November 25, 2014
The North American 3 Eastern Hockey League (NAHL) today announced the Offensive and Defensive Stars of the Week presented by Easton Hockey for the week ending November 23, 2014.  The Stars of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2014-15 regular season that honors the top performing players, both offensively and defensively.

Offense: Ryan Gauvin, forward, New England Stars

Ryan, of Baldwinville, MA scored the first goal of an eventual 2-1 overtime victory for the Stars on Saturday night.  He followed that up by scoring the game-winner in the Stars 3-1 win on Sunday.  Gavin’s performance helped the Stars (currently in 2nd) keep pace in the East with the red hot Fighting Spirit who maintained their grip on 1st place with two victories as well. In 19 games this season, the 17-year-old has 16 points, which ranks tied for 4th on the team

Defense: Lucas Osborne, goaltender, Maine Wild

Osborne, of Nottingham, PA, did all he could to help his Wild teammates collect a victory this weekend averaging 31 saves per game in three tough losses, including a 2-1 setback in overtime on Saturday vs. the New England Stars.  Osborne sported a 2.97 GAA for the weekend and remains in the Top 3 in the league amongst goalies for minutes played this season with 641 and in saves with 334.
