Peoria 5 @ Wisconsin 2 - The Peoria Mustangs had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-2 win over the Wisconsin Whalers. Peoria got the win on the strength of a great game by Andrew Scofield, who had two goals and two assists. Scofield scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 17:05 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Peoria. Scofield's next tally on the power play made the score 5-2 Peoria with 9:24 left in the third period. Peoria had gotten the advantage when Wisconsin's Adam Schoenfeld was sent off for tripping. Nathan Scofield assisted on the tally. Peoria also got points from Scofield, who also had one goal and two assists. Peoria also got a goal from Austin Wisely as well. More assists for Peoria came via Chance Homerin, who had one. The Whalers were led by Peter Henderson, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Henderson scored 8:15 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wisconsin. Isaac Hale provided the assist. Ryan Martin also scored for Wisconsin. Bozeman 1 @ Helena 5 - The Helena Bighorns had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-1 win over the Bozeman Icedogs. Bozeman was stymied by Helena's netminder Grant Martens, who stopped 34 shots during the victory. Martens managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 1.72 prior to the game. Helena was led by Johnny Bonta, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Bonta scored 3:54 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Helena. Nick Trefry provided the assist. Helena also got points from Trefry, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Brandon Mills, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Helena included Elliot Hopkins and Matt Blassic, who scored one goal each. In addition, Helena received assists from Daniel Liberko, Brandt Miller, and Georgy Ostapchuk, who each chipped in one. Bozeman was led by Kyler Chartier, who scored the team's only goal. Chartier scored 3:41 into the second period to make the score 1-1. Gunnar Mogck picked up the assist.
