North, Central move to 2-0 at Top Prospects

The North Division (2-0) and the Central Division (2-0) skated to wins on the second day of the Sherwood/NAHL Top Prospects Tournament on Tuesday at the Ice Cube in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Five different players lit the lamp for the North Division in its 5-2 victory over the West (0-2). Brent Bain (Marquette Rangers) connected for the game-winning goal, and goaltender Matt Wichorek (Janesville Jets) turned aside 38 shots.

In the late game, Tyler Klein (North Iowa Outlaws) tallied a pair of goals, including the game-winner, as the Central Division skated to a 5-1 victory over the South.  Ryan Bohrer (North Iowa Outlaws) added a goal and two assists, including one on Klein’s game-winner, and goaltenders Chris Kamal (Alexandria Blizzard) and Ryan Faragher (Bismarck Bobcats) combined to stop 22 shots.

On the final Day 3 of Top Prospects on Wednesday, the West will face off against the South (10 a.m. EST) and the Central will play the North (1 p.m.).
