The Minnesota Flying Aces, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that defenseman Matt Olson has been called to the NAHL’s Minnesota Wilderness for the remainder of the season.
Olson, 18, began the season with the Flying Aces and appeared in 26 games with the team through December. The native of Forest Lake, Minnesota recorded 13 points during his time with the Flying Aces.
Olson (5’10/180) has appeared in five NAHL games to date with the Wilderness and has yet to register a point, but has a +2 rating.
"We are very excited for Matt. He has earned this through hard work and I know that he will do well for them,” said Flying Aces Head Coach Jim Jensen.
Prior to this season, Olson played four years of Minnesota High School hockey for the Totino-Grace team, who appeared in the State Playoffs last season.
