Helena forward McDonough makes college commitment

The Helena Bighorns of the NA3HL announced today forward Liam McDonough has committed to the Oswego State University Lakers for the start of the 2015 school year.
OSU is based in Oswego, NY and is part of the ACHA Division 1. McDonough is looking to add depth to the Oswego team who finished 12-9 overall in the 2014-2015 season.
Liam is a native of Rouses Point, New York and is looking forward to returning to his home state to play college hockey. He will be a great addition to the Oswego program that has seen success.
Coach Jon Jonasson can attest to the difference Liam is capable of making as soon as he arrives at school. “The day Liam put on a Bighorns jersey he was an immediate impact on the ice and in the locker room. Liam is going to be a great fit in Oswego this season and we wish him the best of luck.”
McDonough was brought to Helena via trade with the Dells Ducks days before the NA3HL trade deadline. Liam’s ability to play in every situation was utilized greatly in the Bighorn’s playoff run. The late season acquisition appeared in 10 regular season games and tallied 2 goals and 3 assists with a plus/minus rating of +8. Liam played in all 5 playoff games and added 1 assist.
