Toledo forward Downey makes college commitment

The Toledo Cherokee of the NA3HL are proud to announce that Kyle Downey has committed to play college hockey at Davenports University for the upcoming season.
The Canton, MI native was acquired mid season by the Cherokee from their division rival the Metro Jets. The 20 year old suited up in 24 regular season games for Toledo scoring one goal and adding three assists for a total of four points. In two playoff appearances he netted one goal.
“Kyle was a guy we added half way thru the season and was an awesome team guy, everything we asked him to do he did it at full speed and didn’t question the coaching staff. I am very happy for him and his family.” Said head coach Kenny Miller
Davenport University is located in Grand Rapids, MI and the Panthers compete in the ACHA DII league.
