Saturday Scores: Thunder punch playoff ticket with win

Justin Bioni led the Cincinnati to a win over Pittsburgh and help the Thunder clinch the final playoff spot in the Midwest.

Peoria 2 @ St. Louis 4 - St. Louis and Peoria were evenly matched throughout their contest, but St. Louis made the most of its opportunities and won, 4-2. Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and Cameron McAtee secured the win for St. Louis with a goal in the second period. St. Louis was led by McAtee, who grabbed one goal. McAtee scored 5:37 into the second period to make the score 3-2 St. Louis. Sam Maddox picked up the assist. Others who scored for St. Louis included Chris Brown, Ezekiel Estrada, and Eduard Rumyantsev, who each put in one. The shootout lasted for four attempts between the teams. Cincinnati's other shootout goal was scored by Arsenii Vashchuk. Justin Bioni had one goal and two assists to lead Cincinnati. Bioni scored 9:07 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Cincinnati. Vashchuk provided the assist. Cincinnati also had goals scored by Taylor Hamilton and Albert Janele, who each put in one. In addition, Cincinnati received assists from Hunter Schneider and Trevor Veneklase, who each chipped in one. Pittsburgh was helped by Brian Dee, who grabbed two goals and one assist.
