Trio of Rochester players make college commitments

The Rochester Ice Hawks, proud members of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that three players have made college commitments.
 
Forward Trey McMillen has committed to Becker College, an NCAA Division III school. Former goalie Sam Nelson has committed to Concordia College, also an NCAA Division III school and forward Ben Koester has committed to play ACHA Division I hockey at the University of Arkansas.
 
McMillen who is from Stafford, Texas, played for the Ice Hawks during the 2013-14 and 2015-16 seasons and served as a team Captain this past year.  He was second in scoring this past season with 49 points in 41 games played. He also participated in the 2016 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the Central Division team. He committed to Becker College where he joins former Ice Hawks Alums, Dylan Durham and Brandon Morgan.
 
Sam Nelson, a native of LaCrosse, Wisconsin), played for the Ice Hawks in the 2014-15 season, as well as, part of last season.  Sam committed to Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.
 
Ben Koester from Appleton, Wisconsin, played for the Ice Hawks last season, recording three points in 29 games played. He began the season playing for Peoria in the NA3HL, recording six points in 14 games played. He committed to the University of Arkansas (ACHA Div. 1)
