Wild finish regular season with 7-1 win

Gillette Wild 7 vs. Billings Bulls 1-The Gillette Wild completed their 2016-17 regular season in grand fashion on Thursday night and outshot the Billings Bulls by more than double on their way to a 7-1 victory. It was the 35th win of the season for Gillette, who will finish in 3rd place in the Frontier Division and take on the Helena Bighorns in the opening round of the Frontier Division playoffs next weekend. Jack Oberg, Riley Holwegner (3), Tyler Tennant, Derek Scoggins, and Cade Boreing scored for the Wild, while Kyle Mueller notched one for Billings. Gillette goaltender Landon Anderson made 19 saves, while Simo Huhtanen stopped 45 shots for the Bulls. Boxscore
