May 3, 2017
The Syracuse Stampede of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Nate Walker has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Framingham State.
Walker, 19, was dominant during the 2016-17 regular season for the Stampede and several NCAA teams had him on his radar. Walker (5’10/180) caught the eye of scouts with his successful regular season, as well as, his participation in the 2017 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament.
The native of Ithaca, New York, lead the Stampede with 38 goals and 36 assists for 74 points in 39 games this past season and finished 18th in the NA3HL in scoring.
“Nate is a great kid that will do well at the college level. His work ethic and energy level are huge assets to his game and his offensive side will certainly bolster his college teams play. It has been a pleasure to have Nate with us the past two seasons,” stated Stampede coach Mike Beavis.
The Stampede wish to congratulate Nate on his acceptance to Framingham State and wish him all the best in his college hockey career.
