King, 18, is in the top 10 in scoring for all NA3HL defenseman with 24 points (6 goals, 18 assists) in 19 games played, which also ranks him 2nd on the team in scoring.
Both players are from Toronto, Ontario and in their first season playing in the NA3HL.
“We are very pleased that the Northeast Generals have noticed the very good play of both Matthew and Justin and have called them up to their NAHL club this week. Both of these young men have progressed more and more as the season has gone on under the direction of Coach Hill, Coach Cullen and Coach Gilmore. Their work ethic and passion for the game is superior. Matthew has a great deal of skill, exceptional vision and his hockey IQ is one of the highest I have seen in quite some time. Justin of course is a big young man that skates extremely well and has added a great deal of offense from our back end. His defensive game has improved greatly as well. We of course wish both of them well,” said PowerHawks General Manager Frank Vecchio.
