Jets beat Cherokee on snowy Wednesday night, 7-4
Toledo 4 @ Metro 7 - The snowstorm that battered much of the state of Michigan didn’t affect Wednesday night’s game at Fraser Hockeyland as the Metro Jets downed the Toledo Cherokee 7-4. Connor Inger scored twice with three assists, while Trevor Momot added a pair of goals and two assists and goaltender Jacob McClelland finished with 18 saves for the win in goal. Matt Schaumburger made his season debut with the Jets playing on a line with Inger and Momot and went for a goal and an assist. Jeremy Schwartz and Jhuwon Davis added single goal for Metro. Zachary Perry, Josh Koback, Spencer Sandberg, and Tristin Snyder found the back of the net for the Cherokee. Metro goaltender Jacob McClellan made 18 saves on the night, while Ricardo Gonzalez stopped 65 shots for Toledo. Boxscore
