Ice Dogs, Wild, Express lock up playoff berths
The Fairbanks Ice Dogs and Wenatchee Wild have clinched North American Hockey League (NAHL) Robertson Cup Playoff berths in the West Division, while the Owatonna Express have locked up a postseason spot in the Central.
The first-place Ice Dogs have 66 points in the West, 20 more than the fifth-place Dawson Creek Rage, which has only six regular-season games remaining. The second-place Wild has 59 points.
The division leaders in the Central, the Express has 64 points, 25 points more than the fifth-place Austin Bruins, who have 12 games remaining.
The other NAHL teams to clinch playoff berths this season are in the South Division: the Topeka RoadRunners, Amarillo Bulls and Texas Tornado.
