Freeze forward Seeger makes NCAA commitment

The La Crosse Freeze (now the Coulee Region Chill) of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Alec Seeger has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
Seeger, 20, completed his third and final season of playing junior hockey in the NA3HL this past season. The 6’1/190 lbs. native of Anoka, Minnesota, recorded a career high 46 points (24 goals, 22 assists) in 46 regular season games during the 2017-18 season.
He also had six points in eight Fraser Cup Playoff games as the Freeze made it all the way to the Fraser Cup Semi-Finals.
Seeger began his junior career with the Alexandria Blizzard in the 2015-16 season. Overall in 128 career NA3HL games over the course of three seasons, Seeger recorded 89 career points.
“Alec has been a key piece to our success this season not only because of his on ice production, but his leadership in the locker room. He is a natural goal scorer with a big body frame to play hard down low. We are excited for him and look forward to his success neat season,” said head coach Jon Vaillancourt.
