New Ulm forward Kreuser makes NCAA commitment

July 3, 2018
The New Ulm Steel of the NA3HL is proud to announce that forward Luc Kreuser has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at Concordia University-Wisconsin.

“I’m just thankful for the opportunity and very excited to get started,” Kreuser said.

Kreuser, a native of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin, played in the NA3HL with the Steel for three seasons, where he played in a total of 150 games and tallied 54 goals and 100 assists. He has been a key player in the Steel’s successful past three seasons, serving this past year as alternate captain.

During the 2017-18 season, Kreuser had 43 points (9 goals, 34 assists) in 44 games played. During the 2016-17 season, he made his NAHL debut with the Northeast Generals.

“I’d like to thank my family and teammates and, of course, the Steel organization for everything they’ve done for me,” Kreuser said.

The 6’0/165 lbs. forward ended each season at, or near, the top in scoring, assists and total points for the Steel and was also selected and participated in the 2016 and 2017 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournaments.

Prior to his time with the Steel, Kreuser, 20, played four seasons at Wisconsin Rapids High School.
