Sunday Wrap-Up: Kings control Northeast thanks to winning streak

James Clarke had the overtime-winning goal and two assists in a 4-3 win on Sunday.

Elmira Jr. Soaring Eagles 3 @ Skylands Kings 4 (OT) - Thanks to an overtime goal from James Clarke the Skylands Kings won against the Elmira Jr. Soaring Eagles, 4-3. The win moved Skylands into 1st place in the Northeast Division with a game in hand over 2nd place Elmira and just three games remaining. The only goal of the 1st came from forward Thomas Hoffman of the Kings. In the 2nd Thomas Liebold put the Soaring Eagles on the board only to be answered by a goal from Trevor Christopher of the Kings. In the 3rd Thomas Mougin of the Kings scored before Jayvon Fogelgren of the Soaring Eagles could score twice to force overtime. James Clarke of the Kings scored with :01 left in overtime to win the game. Kings goalie Tyler Robertson made 32 saves of 35 while Nick Konkel of the Soaring Eagles made 27 of 31. 
 
Rochester Grizzlies 5 @ Coulee Region Chill 1 - The Rochester Grizzlies traveled to defeat the Coulee Region Chill, 5-1. In the 2nd forward Hunter Wilmes of the Grizzlies scored before Joey Wiczek of the Chill could tie it up. The Grizzlies took the lead in the 3rd with goals from Joey Fodstad, Noel Parker, and two from Peyton Hart. Goalie Mathias Backstrom of the Grizzlies made 24 saves of 25 in the win while Devin Naidow of the Chill made 47 of 52 in the loss. 
 
Wausau RiverWolves 3 @ Milwaukee Power 4 (OT) - Thanks to an overtime goal from Logan Drolet the Milwaukee Power won against the Wausau RiverWolves, 4-3. Wesley Knutson of the Power scored the only goal of the 1st. In the 2nd period Garrett Alton managed a goal for the Power before the RiverWolves could answer with two goals from Jake Minch and Jack Piskula. Alex Rodriguez of the RiverWolves put one up in the 3rd only to be answered by a goal from Josh Tyra of the Power. Logan Drolet scored for the Power :12 into overtime. Power goalie Joey Greilich made 47 saves of 50 while Joseph La Forge of the RiverWolves made 34 of 38. 
 
New England Stars 1 @ Northeast Generals 6 - The Northeast Generals won at home against the New England Stars, 6-1. The Generals took the lead in the 2nd with three goals from John Musella, Carson Asper, and Ryan Reifler. In the 3rd the Stars got on the board with a goal from Connor Barter before the Generals could answer with three goals from Stephan Gerbis, Tami Merilainen, and Asper. Generals goalie Raphael Gaughan made 29 saves of 30 in the win while Ben Monsivais of the Stars made 46 of 52 in the loss. 
 
Long Beach Sharks 0 @ Danbury Colonials 7 - Thanks to a shutout from Sam Boos the Danbury Colonials defeated the Long Beach Sharks, 7-0. Kyle McEnany of the Colonials scored the only goal of the 1st. The Colonials kept their lead in the 2nd with goals from Coel Madzey and Connor Lefkof. In the 3rd the Colonials put up four goals, one each from Lefkof and McEnany and two from Kevin Remson. Goalie Sam Boos made 20 saves in the shutout while Timothy Brillaud of the Sharks made 62 saves of 69. 
 
New Ulm Steel 2 @ Alexandria Blizzard 5 - The Alexandria Blizzard won at home against the New Ulm Steel, 5-2. In the 1st Michal Trejbal of the Blizzard scored only to be followed by a goal from Stanislav Danaey of the Steel, which was followed by a goal from Blizzard forward Cole Jacobs. The Blizzard added to their lead in the 2nd with a goal from Brandon Connett before Danaey of the Steel could score. Val Popowski scored at the end of the 2nd for the Blizzard. The only goal of the 3rd came from Dallas Duckson of the Blizzard. Goalie Bailey Rosch of the Blizzard made 25 saves 27 while AJ Cohen of the Steel made 32 of 37. 
 
Texas Brahmas 13 @ Texas RoadRunners 0 - Thanks to a shutout from Bryce Runyan the Texas Brahmas defeated the Texas RoadRunners, 13-0. The Brahmas put up three goals in the 1st, two from Andrue Trelstad and one from Blake Rothstein. In the 2nd period the Brahmas added five to their lead with goals from Cal Couell, Tyler Blanchard, Gabe Potyk, and two from Findlay Wood. The Brahmas put up five more in the 3rd from Rothstein, Wood, Cory Scull, John Ogeka, and Parker Mara. Goalie Bryce Runyan of the Brahmas made 24 saves in the shutout while RoadRunners goalies Cole Garver made 22 of 28 and Jaeger Reed made 25 of 32. 
 
Willmar WarHawks 2 @ North Iowa Bulls 8 - The North Iowa Bulls won against the Willmar WarHawks, 8-2. The Bulls took the lead in the 1st with goals from Justin Daly and Jordan Roo before Eli Slagter of the WarHawks could score. Matt Dahlseide of the Bulls managed a goal before Slagter could score for the WarHawks, only to be followed by four goals from Sean Sullivan, Zachary Simon, Sota Isogai, and Roo of the Bulls. The only goal of the 3rd came from Bulls forward Dahlseide. Bulls goalies Joseph Daninger made 3 saves of 4 and Owen Carlsion made 12 of 13 while Luke Weberg of the WarHawks made 36 of 44.
 
Atlanta Capitals 6 @ Mid Cities Jr. Stars 1 - The Atlanta Capitals traveled to beat the Mid Cities Jr. Stars, 6-1. In the 1st period the Capitals managed two goals from Kobe Kitagawa and Matthew Macumber. The Capitals added two to their lead in the 2nd with goals from Cole Thomas Johnson and Brandon Plummer. In the 3rd the Capitals put up two goals from David Helpap and Andrei Ruskov before Hunter Leonhard of the Jr. Stars could score. Capitals goalie Noah Ping made 30 saves of 31 in the win while Jr. Stars goalies Noah Kinsinger made 11 of 15 and Nahuel Veyan made 10 of 12.
