B2 to broadcast Top Prospects Tournament

February 6, 2008

The North American Hockey League announced today that all games at this month’s NAHL Top Prospects Tournament will be video broadcast live over the Internet through B2 Networks.

The event, which will feature all-star teams from the NAHL’s Central, North and South Divisions, as well as a team from the U.S. National Team Development Program, competing in a three-game, round-robin tournament, will be held February 17-19 at the Ice Cube in Ann Arbor, Mich.

B2 will also be broadcasting the championship game of the NAHL Midget Showcase Series event, which will be played on Monday, February 18 at 1 p.m. EST at the Ice Cube.

Each game of the tournament can be viewed for $10 (US) with a tournament package (all seven games) available for $40.  For a complete Top Prospects schedule, visit www.nahltopprospects.com.

The Tournament will be available for viewing by a worldwide audience through the NAHL’s Web sites, www.nahl.com and www.nahltopprospects.com.

Fans wanting to watch the event via B2 Networks will need a high-speed Internet connection and a current version of Microsoft Windows Media Player.

“Having our Top Prospects games broadcast through B2 Networks only adds to the prestige and excitement of this event,” said NAHL commissioner Mark Frankenfeld.  “It’s an ideal way for fans and families who can’t attend the games to stay in touch with all the action as it happens.”
