Saturday Scores: RoadRunners stay hot with sweep

Badlands defenseman Seth Stock had a hat-trick, which included the overtime-winner, in a 6-5 win on Saturday.

Louisiana 1 @ TX RoadRunners 4 Samuel Bourdon registered two goals and an assist as the Texas RoadRunners defeated the Louisiana Drillers 4-1. Jack Herron added a goal and a helper while Matthew Edestrand also found the back of the net. Alexander Opalacz was nearly perfect as he turned aside 25 of 26 shots. Daniel Ripstein had the lone tally for the Drillers. Pavel Grishin stopped 43 shots in the loss.

Norwich 1 @ Northeast 12 Sean Gorman and Nolan Murphy each had a hat trick as Northeast put on a dominant performance over Norwich, winning 12-1. Cody Lambert had three points in the win while Zach Sinople, Owen McNamee, and Samuel Lamphear all had a goal and an assist. Tommy Lubin also got on the scoresheet in the victory. D’Mar McCoy stopped 21 shots to earn the win in net. Troy Harwell had the only goal for the Sea Captains while Brendan Pellerito and Alex Tsymbalyuk teamed up to make 48 saves.

Bozeman 5 @ Badlands 6 (OT) – Seth Stock’s goal 36 seconds into overtime finished the hat trick for him and gave his Badlands Sabres a 6-5 win over the Bozeman Icedogs. After Ian Bowman opened the scoring for Bozeman, Stock scored twice and Brady Ridnour scored once to give the Sabres a 3-1 lead after 40 minutes. Bozeman would strike three straight times with Bowman, Michael Schwartz and Bentley Simcox to regain the lead 4-3. Kael Delzer would tie the game before. Bowman finished his own hat trick and put the Icedogs up ahead once more. Delzer’s second of the night would bring the teams even at five before Stock’s heroics in overtime. Maxim Currie was the winner in net as he stopped 31 shots. Liam Scott turned aside 40 opportunities in the loss for Bozeman.

Mason City 4 @ Rochester 6 – Three third period goals lifted the Rochester Grizzlies to a 6-4 win over the Mason City Toros. Cole Gibson finished the evening with two goals and two assists while Kyle Bauer logged two goals and one assist. Layten Liffrig had a goal and two helpers while Justin Wright contributed a goal and an assist. Sota Isogai potted a pair of goals for Mason City while Shota Kaneko chipped in a goal and an assist. Nik Howell also found the back of the net for the Toros. Zach Wiese needed just 17 saves to earn the win in the blue paint while Nathan Dickey was much busier, stopping 34 shots.

Sheridan 2 @ Gillette 4 – The Gillette Wild completed the sweep of the Sheridan Hawks as they won on Saturday night by a score of 4-2. Carson Kuche and Vance Kleinschmidt gave the Wild a 2-0 lead early in the second but Sheridan would tie the game up on goals from Makhai Sparks and Wyatt Noble. Isaac Young and Declan Young would score in the final minutes to put Gillette in the win column. Jack Orchard stopped 24 shots to get the win in net. Joseph LaForge was busy all night and finished with 56 saves on the evening.
