Rochester defenseman Waage gets call to NAHL
The Rochester Grizzlies, proud members of the NA3HL, have announced that defenseman Per Waage has been called up to the North American Hockey League (NAHL) this weekend to play with the Austin Bruins.
Waage becomes the 5th Grizzly this season to earn a call-up to the NAHL.
"We are excited for the opportunity Coach (Steve) Howard and the Bruins have given Per, he has been working hard and is always improving,” said Grizzlies Head Coach and General Manager Chris Ratzloff. "This latest call-up is another example of how a team playing hard and doing things the right way gets opportunities for its individuals."
So far this season, the 6’2/180 lbs. native of Plymouth, Minnesota has 16 points (4 goals, 12 assists) and a +23 rating in 28 games played this season. The Bruins take on the North Iowa Bulls this Friday (12/31) and Saturday Night (1/01).
In 46 career NA3HL regular season games with the Grizzlies, Waage has recorded 19 points.
