NA3HL announces monthly player awards for October

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) has announced its monthly player awards for the month of October. The Forward of the Month is Sky Solig of the Gillette Wild.  The Defenseman of the Month is Makhai Sparks of the Sheridan Hawks. The Goaltender of the Month is Hunter Hein of the Texas RoadRunners. Only players who are nominated by their respective teams are considered for the NA3HL monthly awards.

 

Bauer Hockey NA3HL Forward of the Month: Sky Solig, Gillette Wild

Gillette Wild forward, Sky Solig, was named Forward of the Month after his 9-game appearance during the month of October totaling 20 points. The Warroad, MN native scored 8 goals and added 12 assists along with 2 game-winning goals. Solig has played in 14 games this season and has accounted for 25 points with 9 goals and 16 assists. Solig is also tied for 6th in the NA3HL amongst all top scorers in the league.

Bauer Hockey NA3HL Defenseman of the Month: Makhai Sparks, Sheridan Hawks

Sheridan Hawks blueliner, Makhai Sparks, earned the Defenseman of the Month after putting up 20 points in the 7 games he played in during the month of October. Sparks, who leads the Hawks in scoring, scored 8 goals and handed out 12 assists while maintaining a +9 rating. The Bosie, ID native has played in 13 games this season and has totalled 25 points with 11 goals and 14 assists. With those numbers, Sparks is currently tied with Sky Solig for 6th in the NA3HL in scoring. 

Runner-Up: Will Fallman, Great Falls Americans

NA3HL Goaltender of the Month: Hunter Hein, Texas RoadRunners

RoadRunners goaltender Hunter Hein was lights out between the pipes in the month of October with a perfect 6-0 record. In his five showings in the month, Hein faced 199 shots and turned away 192 of them to record a 1.17 GAA and a .965 SV%. The Phoenix, AZ native also recorded 2 shutouts during the month.
