Saturday Scores: League-best Lumberjacks continue to roll

Mason City 1 @ Granite City 9 - Joe Greniuk led the way with a five point night as the Granite City Lumberjacks dominated the Mason City Toros by a score of 9-1. Greniuk had two goals and three helpers while Brett Robinson grabbed a goal and two assists. Luke Delzer and Kyle Mortenson chipped in a goal and an assist. Andrew Butler and Ashton Ericksen also got on the scoresheet for the Lumberjacks in the big win. Xander Roberts finished the night with 14 saves. Carter Newpower picked up the only tally for Mason City. Will Kunka and Connor Graham combined to stop 37 shots.

Rochester 1 @ Oregon 8 - The Oregon Tradesmen continued their strong play as they completed the sweep of the Rochester Grizzlies, winning 8-1 on Saturday night. Jordan Larkee netted two goals and added a helper while Christian Tavare notched a goal and two assists. Dillon Schmidt and Bryce Stensrud both potted a pair of goals while Dayne Deanovich had a goal and an assist of his own. Tyler Fromolz was nearly perfect in net, stopping 34 of 35 shots. Ben Oakland had the lone goal for the Grizzlies. Lucas Henderson and Kaleb Bents teamed up to make 30 saves in the loss.

Alexandria 4 @ Minnesota 2 - Charlie Larsen picked up two tallies and added a helper as the Alexandria Blizzard doubled up the Minnesota Loons by a score of 4-2. Joe Gronholz had a multi point game as well with a goal and an assist. Karsten Senden put home the other goal for the Blizzard. Blake Keller and Jack Kritzeck got on the scoreboard for the Loons in the loss. Hunter Chubb got the win in goal with a 24 save effort. Keaton French was given the loss after stopping 40 shots.

Mid Cities 4 @ El Paso 10 - Multiple Rhinos secured multiple points as they took care of the Mid Cities Jr. Stars by a score of 10-4. Mike Sobaski led all skaters with two goal and two assists. Trey Erramouspe and Marc LaFrance had two goals and an assist each in the win. Zachary Ware grabbed a goal and two assists of his own. Carson Doyle and Tyler Dunkel each contributed a goal and an assist while Julian Cortez-Martinez also lit the lamp for the Rhinos. Michael Kennedy notched a goal and an assist for Mid Cities. Timothy Pickrell, Mitchell Blassingame and Dakota Brandom all scored as well in the loss. Christopher Burns was the winner in goal with 15 saves. Aaron Palos and Garrett Johnson combined to make 54 saves for the Jr. Stars.

Badlands 0 @ Gillette 2 - Jake Turek finished the night with 16 saves and a shutout as the Gillette Wild blanked the Badlands Sabres by a score of 2-0. Sky Solig scored just 90 seconds into the contest with Wylee Gladen scoring just four minutes later. That would all the scoring that Turek and the Wild would need as they would go on to complete the sweep and take four points on the weekend. Zach Broxterman took the loss in goal as he made 43 saves.

Bozeman 3 @ Helena 2 (OT) - Spencer Wilkinson scored the game winning goal just 89 seconds into overtime as the Bozeman Icedogs upset the Helena Bighorns on home ice. The teams traded goals in the opening from with Camden Cunningham lighting the lamp just 45 seconds into play. Wilkinson’s first goal of the game tied the game up at one just seven minutes. Tyler Bloom gave Helena the lead again just minutes later with his 10th of the season. Bozeman would answer just minutes later with a goal of their own off the stick of Kole Morris. The game would remain tied at two until Wilkinson’s second of the night and fourth of the season. Cam Milewski got the win in goal as he made 64 saves while Jesse Schindel was dealt the loss as he made 38 stops.

Butte 4 @ Yellowstone 3 (OT) - Caelin Chinery scored with just 12 seconds left in overtime to lift the Butte Cobras to a 4-3 win over the Yellowstone Quake. Chinery finished the night with two goals and an assist. Tyler Touch had one tally and two helpers while Patrick Crooks also found the back of the net. Wyatt O’Donoghue, Donovan Knuckles and Will Soldano all got the scoresheet for the Quake. Braylon Rogers was the winning goaltender, he made 27 saves. Steven Kelly took the loss for Yellowstone, he also made 27 saves.

Great Falls 2 @ Sheridan 4 - Makhai Sparks continued his strong play as he netted another two goals in the Sheridan Hawks 4-2 victory over the Great Falls Americans. McCaffrey Billings had a goal and an assist for the Hawks while Ryan McKenna also grabbed a goal. Jace Thompson and Garrett Weisenburger were the goal scorers for the Americans. Bo Buckley picked up the win in between the pipes as he turned aside 31 shots. Josh Koziol was dealt the loss in net, he made 41 stops.

Danbury 2 @ Long Beach 4 - The Long Beach Sharks took a 4-2 win over the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks. Logan Plante, Sam Barnitz and Henry Slager all added a goal and an assist. Goaltender Ryo Murakami stopped 25 of the 27 shots he faced in the win. 

TX Brahmas 5 @ Louisiana 2 - The Texas Brahmas defeated the Louisiana Drillers in a 5-2 game after being tied in the first period to score 3 goals in the second. George Kelly, Michael Imala, and Colin Stow all had a multiple point night. Goalie Riley Gorman picked up the win in net stopping 32 shots. 

Norwich 3 @ Northeast 1 - The Norwich Sea Captains and Northeast Generals both did not score until the third period as the Sea Captains netted three times to take a 3-1 win. Erik Masengill, Jacob Begich and Sean Loftus all scored for Norwich. Goalie Brendan Pellertio was near perfect stopping 35 shots. 

Bay State 7 @ New Jersey 2 - The New Jersey Titans  topped the Bay State Bobcats in a 7-2 final score. Kurt Johnson and Antonio Vidal both had a 4 point game. Goaltender Daniel Antal stopped 34 shots in the win. 

Willmar 3 @ New Ulm 2 - The Willmar WarHawks edged the New Ulm Steel in a 3-2 final score. The Warhawks scored twice in the first period with Micheal Sweetland and Gunnar Sibley. In the second period Chandler Dennis scored the game winner. Wyatt Olsonawski stopped 27 shots to take the win in net for the WarHawks. 

Peoria 5 @ Wausau 0 - The Peoria Mustangs shutout the Wausau Cyclones in a 5-0 final score. Tristan Trudel scored two goals while Jaycob Bland and Ethan Chesney both scored a goal and added two assists. Netminder Kason Yamada stopped all of the 28 shots he faced. 

Atlanta 1 @ New Mexico 7 - The New Mexico Ice Wolves took a 7-1 win over the Atlanta Capitals. Hunter Fischbach added 3 assists, Jo Kawagishi scored twice and Ethan Secord scored a goal and added an assist. Pierson Haislet stopped 14 of the 15 shots. 

Milwaukee 4 @ St. Louis 0 - The Power got two goals from Patrick Toomey and others from Owen Drake and Odin Klebba in a 4-0 win. Adam Prokop posted the shutout for the Power.
