Danbury, Mason City win on Wednesday
Danbury 4 @ New Jersey 1 – The Jr. Hat Tricks kept their hot streak going as they got 34 saves from goalie Gennaro Demaio in a 4-1 road win in New Jersey on Wednesday. Danbury took a 1-0 lead in the 1st period with a goal from Oleg Egorov. In the 3rd period, the Jr. Hat Tricks blew the game open with goals from Lucas Nafe, Lou Caulfield, and Pavel Khorkin to make it a a 4-0 contest. Braylen Tuff would score his first goal of the season to give the Titans their lone goal of the game late in the 3rd period. Titans goalie Daniel Antal made 25 saves in the loss.
Mason City 6 @ Willmar 1 – Petr Lukes had two goals and Will Kunka made 25 saves to lead the Toros to a 6-1 road win in Willmar on Wednesday. Mason City jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two periods as they got a 1st period power play goal from Colin Hedland and 2nd period goals from Hayden Siegel, Matt Kochanowski, and Lukes. In the 3rd period, Willmar got their lone goal from Tyler Misialek to make it 4-1, but the Toros responded with two more goals from Cal Levis III and Lukes to make it a 6-1 final score. Zack Ortolano made 14 saves in the loss.
