Granite City goalie Berglove makes NCAA commitment

Granite City goalie Mac Berglove was the MVP of the 2017 Silver Cup Championship.
The Granite City Lumberjacks of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that goaltender Mac Berglove has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey at St. John’s University in the MIAC.
Berglove, 21, is coming off of an incredible season, which was capped off by his performance at the 2017 NA3HL Silver Cup Championship, as he led the Granite City Lumberjacks to the Silver Cup title and was named the tournament MVP in the process.
The native of Elk River, Minnesota, played in the NA3HL for two seasons for the Lumberjacks. This season, Berglove (6’0/200) posted a 22-3-6 record in 32 games played during the regular season. For his efforts, he was named the NA3HL West Division Goalie of the Year.
The playoffs is where Berglove thrived, as he put together an 8-2 record with a 2.00 goals against average and a 93.1% save percentage, leading the Lumberjacks to the title.
Berglove was also selected to and played in the 2016 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for the West Division team.
Prior to playing in the NA3HL for Granite City Berglove played high school hockey for Elk River High School and the Kansas City Mavs Elite 18U team.
