St. Louis forward Ivory makes college commitment
The St. Louis Jr. Blues of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Mike Ivory has committed to play ACHA Division I hockey for the University of Illinois.
This past season, Ivory posted 10 points in 37 games played, which was his second season with the Jr. Blues in the NA3HL.
“Mike is a hard working player that can bring a ton of speed and energy,” said former Jr. Blues GM and head coach Chris Flaugher. “Mike was a great teammate/person and will bring that great quality with him to Illinois.”
Flaugher added, “Getting to know Mike and seeing him develop as a player and person, then to see him make his college commitment at the ACHA Division I level has been fun to watch. We wish him nothing but the best as he transitions into a student-athlete.”
The 20-year-old from Fishers, IN has played in 83 games for the Jr. Blues the past two seasons and prior to that played for the Indy Jr. Fuel U18 AAA program. Ivory will be joining a program that recently saw former Jr. Blues Joe Nolan and Tyler Opilka sporting the orange and navy.
