Wausau defenseman Chapman makes college commitment
The Wausau Cyclones of the NA3HL are proud to announce that defenseman Tanner Chapman has committed to play ACHA Division I hockey at Grand Canyon University.
Chapman, 20, is a 6’1/175 lbs. native of Colorado Springs, CO, and played in 44 games this past season where he contributed 1 goal and 3 assists for the Cyclones.
“I couldn’t be happier for Tanner to be continuing his education and hockey at GCU. Tanner has worked extremely hard and has stayed dedicated to getting better each day. He’s earned this and I can’t wait to see what he does over the next four years,” stated Head Coach Colin Bailey.
Chapman played in the NA3HL during the 2020-21 season for both the Willmar WarHawks and Gillette Wild.
Prior to playing junior hockey in the NA3HL, he played high school hockey in Colorado for Doherty High.
