Alexandria goalie Kausch makes NCAA commitment

The Alexandria Blizzard of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that goaltender Konrad Kausch has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Saint Mary’s University.
Kausch, a 6’3/185 lbs. native of Duluth, MN, joined the team in February and made a quick impact. In his five regular season games, Kausch earned four wins in net, made 146 saves (.918 save percentage), and had a 2.57 goals against average.
In the Fraser Cup playoffs, Kausch made 227 saves (.914 save percentage), earned seven wins, and had a 2.35 goals against average.
“I am beyond grateful for the experiences I’ve been able to have throughout three past 3 years. With that being said, I’m excited to futher my athletic and academic career at Saint Mary’s University. To my teammates, coaches, billets, and family. I wouldn’t be here without the support along the journey,” said Kausch.
Kausch had previously played in the NAHL for the Minnesota Wilderness during both the 2022-23 and 2021-22 seasons. This past season, he had a 7-4-1 record with a 2.45 goals against average and .913 save percentage before being traded to Alexandria.
During the 2021-22 season, he recorded an 8-5-0 record with the Wilderness, including a 3.25 goals against average and a .889 save percentage.
