Willmar defenseman Hosszu makes NCAA commitment

The Willmar WarHawks of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that defenseman Jake Hosszu has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Hamline University in the MIAC.
Hosszu, 21, just completed his third and final season playing junior hockey in the NA3HL and the NAHL. The 6’0/175 lbs. native of Woodbury, MN, began the 2022-23 season playing in the NAHL for the St. Cloud Norsemen, where he recorded three points in 20 regular season games played.
In late January, he joined the WarHawks in the NA3HL, where he finished out the season with 8 points in 10 regular season games played.
During the 2021-22 season, Hosszu split time between the NAHL and NA3HL as he played in 26 NAHL games for the Minnesota Magicians and seven games for the WarHawks.
In his rookie season of 2020-21, Hosszu split time between the NAHL and NA3HL with the Northeast Generals. He put up 6 points in 20 games with the NAHL team and 16 points in 13 games with the NA3HL team.
During his career, he appeared in 30 NA3HL games and had 30 points and 66 NAHL games with 13 points. Prior to playing in the NA3HL and NAHL, Hosszu spent one season in the NAPHL playing for the Des Moines Bucs AAA 18U team.
