Generals, RoadRunners win on Sunday
Northeast Generals forward Sean Gorman had a hat-trick in a 5-3 win on Sunday.
TX RoadRunners 6 @ Austin 0: A three-point performance from Brayden Bibby played a key role in the RoadRunners’ 6-2 victory over the Ice Bats on Sunday. Adrian Sanchez broke the deadlock late in the 1st period with his first goal of the season. Bibby, JT Brugaletta, and Ajay Johnson all tickled twine in the middle frame to extend the lead. Noah Easterson and Bibby put the game out of reach with tallies in the final period. Jimmy Packee was stellar in net for the RoadRunners, stopping all 36 shots faced for the shutout.
Northeast 5 @ Danbury 3: A surge of offense in the 2nd period and strong play from forward Sean Gorman led the Generals past Danbury 5-3. After a scoreless opening 20 minutes, Gorman buried a pair of goals in the 2nd and Gabe Vijuk added another. Brody Trew kept the Jr. Hat Tricks in it with goals. The two clubs traded offense back and forth in the final frame as Kenny Granacker and Aidan Anderson scored for Danbury while Levente Pokozdi and Gorman silenced the comeback bid with goals of their own. Mike Foglia picked up the win making 26 saves while Riley Gorman made 49 stops in the loss.
