Trio of Mustangs make ACHA Commitment to Illinois State

The Peoria Mustangs of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that defensemen Sam Truxaw and Declan McDermott, along with goaltender Kason Yamada, have committed to play ACHA DI hockey for Illinois State. 

In 86 games (regular season and Fraser Cup Playoffs) with the Mustangs, Truxaw, a native of Huntington Beach, CA, collected 4 goals and 16 helpers for 20 points.

In 110 games in a Peoria uniform, the Chicago, Illinois native McDermott collected 20 points, 3 goals, and 17 assists. Additionally, McDermott skated in 5 playoff games for Peoria.

In three season with the Mustangs, the Bloomington, IL native, Yamada, appeared in 37 contests between the pipes with a cumulative record of 14-13-4 with three shutouts.
