Ice Wolves defenseman Kusuno makes NCAA Commitment
The New Mexico Ice Wolves of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that defenseman Landon Kusuno has committed to play NCAA DIII hockey for Northland College in the WIAC.
Kusuno, 21, is a two-year NA3HL player, suiting up for 132 games with the New Mexico Ice Wolves,10 of which being Fraser Cup Playoff games. Throughout his time in New Mexico, the Telluride, CO native tallied 31 points (4 goals, 27 assists). His best game to date came on January 14th as 6’0” blueliner recorded 3 assists during a 4-2 victory over the Texas Brahmas.
“Landon was with us from the start in Albuquerque. He helped establish our culture through his hard work and dedication over the past two seasons,” stated Ice Wolves Head Coach Darren Banks. “He is a great teammate and brings a professional approach to every facet of the game. A leader on and off the ice, we are excited to follow him on his next step at Northland.”
Kusuno is the 2nd player to commit for the Ice Wolves this season.
