Ice Wolves forward Secord makes NCAA Commitment
The New Mexico Ice Wolves of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that defenseman Ethan Secord has committed to play NCAA DIII hockey for Anna Maria College.
Secord, 21, is a two-year NA3HL player, suiting up for 88 games with the New Mexico Ice Wolves,10 of which being Fraser Cup Playoff games. Throughout his time in New Mexico, the Bellingham, WA native tallied 63 points (30 goals, 33 assists). Of his 30 goals, 4 were the deciding factor for the Ice Wolves while 12 came on the powerplay.
Prior to beginning his junior career, Secord played two seasons in the NAPHL with the Everett Jr. Silvertips, recording 13 points (5 goals, 8 assists) in 35 games at the 15U and 16U levels.
“Ethan has been in Albuquerque for both seasons. His first year he lost some time due to injury, but he returned rejuvenated and motivated to find a college home during his age out season. He was thrilled to accept his offer to Anna Maria and we look forward to following his journey moving forward,” stated Ice Wolves Head Coach Darren Banks.
Secord is one of five players to commit for the Ice Wolves this season.
