Drillers defenseman Vitolo signs NAHL Tender

The Louisiana Drillers of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are pleased to announce that defenseman Roman Vitolo has signed a NAHL tender agreement with the Maine Nordiques of the NAHL’s East Division.

Vitolo, 19, just wrapped up his first season playing junior hockey in the NA3HL with Louisiana. Appearing in 52 games, 7 of which being Fraser Cup Playoff games, the New York, New York native tallied 43 points (10 goals, 33 assists). On four separate occasions, Vitolo was able to record 3 points or more in a single contest, including a five point game in mid-December. 

With this tender agreement, Vitolo will be returning to play for the Nordiques, the organization in which he called home during the 2021-22 season in the NAPHL with the 18U team. 

Vitolo is the second player to tender for Louisiana.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include one (1) tender exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2024 NAHL Draft.
