3View: Austin Ice Bats

The 3View video series will feature an in-depth look into all NA3HL teams in preparation for the 2024-25 season, with one team being highlighted daily, leading all the way up until the start of the regular season on September 6th. 3View will include interviews with each team’s head coach, as they provide fans with their expectations and outlook for the 2024-25 season. 

Austin Ice Bats

Head Coach: Kirk Golden (Going on 5th season)

2023-24 season record: 3-42-2-0 (8th in South Division)

2023-24 leading scorer: Dylan Blouin (26 points)

2024 Playoffs: N/A 

2024-25 Division: South Division 

After making positive changes within the organization towards the end of last season, Head Coach Kirk Golden is excited for the year ahead with the Austin Ice Bats. Having a roster composed of younger players enables Coach Golden to aid players in developing for the next level and giving these players opportunities to be exposed to Tier 2 hockey in the NAHL. With upwards of 10 players practicing with NAHL teams during the 2023-24 season, Golden hopes to continue to give Ice Bats the tools they need to advance their hockey careers and develop both on and off the ice and prepare for the next level.
