3View: Badlands Sabres

The 3View video series will feature an in-depth look into all NA3HL teams in preparation for the 2024-25 season, with one team being highlighted daily, leading all the way up until the start of the regular season on September 6th. 3View will include interviews with each team’s head coach, as they provide fans with their expectations and outlook for the 2024-25 season.

Head Coach: Brooks Mitzel (Going on 3rd season with Badlands, 2nd as Head Coach)

2023-24 season record: 19-22-3-3 (5th in Frontier Division)

2023-24 leading scorer: Brooks Roaldson (37 points)

2024 Playoffs: Did not qualify

2024-25 Division: Frontier Division 

Head Coach Brooks Mitzel and the Badlands Sabres have a sour taste in their mouths after missing the 2023-24 postseason by just two points. Motivated to make a playoff run, Mitzel is ready to build off of last year’s success and keep moving things in the right direction in year two as the Sabres Head Coach. As a former NA3HL player, Mitzel knows what it takes to come out on top against premium competition in a tough Frontier Division.
