3View: Helena Bighorns

The 3View video series will feature an in-depth look into all NA3HL teams in preparation for the 2024-25 season, with one team being highlighted daily, leading all the way up until the start of the regular season on September 6th. 3View will include interviews with each team’s head coach, as they provide fans with their expectations and outlook for the 2024-25 season.

Head Coach: Damon Hanson (Going on 4th season)

2023-24 season record: 42-2-1-0 (1st in Frontier Division)

2023-24 leading scorer: Patrick Crooks (73 points)

2024 Playoffs: 2023-24 Fraser Cup Champions

2024-25 Division: Frontier Division 

Head Coach Damon Hanson and the Helena Bighorns became the first team in the Frontier Division to bring home the Fraser Cup in league history. With fans lined up at Steed Arena upon the team’s return to Montana, it was a special moment for everyone involved and a moment of amazement after three years of working towards the goal of becoming Fraser Cup Champions. Despite losing a core group of ‘03s, Hanson encourages players to stick with the mindset of focusing on the now and not getting caught up in last season’s success but instead focus on being the best version of themselves in the current moment.
