Power goaltender Kangas makes ACHA Commitment
The West Bend Power of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that goaltender Ian Kangas has committed to play ACHA DI hockey for Indiana Tech University.
Kangas, 21, is a two-year NA3HL player, suiting up for both the Northeast Generals and West Bend Power. Appearing in 35 games between the two clubs, the Virginia, MN native posted a 29-3-0-1 record, averaging a goals against average of 1.83 and save percentage of .929.
Over the course of two seasons, Kangas recorded a total of six shutouts, including his best weekend of the 2023-24 season as the West Bend Power swept the Wausau Cyclones with back to back goalless games for the Cyclones. The 6’2” netminder had stellar performances with 28 saves in game one, followed by 34 saves during game two.
Kangas is the 6th player to commit for the Power this season.
