Toros forward Christy makes NCAA Commitment
The Mason City Toros of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward Nolan Christy has committed to play NCAA DIII hockey for Northland College in the WIAC.
Christy, 21, is a two-year NA3HL player for the Toros, appearing in 72 games, recording 23 points (12 goals, 11 assists). Throughout his time in Mason City, the Burnsville, MN native had five games where he was able to record two or more points in a single contest. The best game of his career came on February 9th, 2024 as Christy scored two goals and notched one assist against the Minnesota Loons.
Prior to beginning his junior career, Christy played in the NAPHL at the 18U level with the Des Moines Buccaneers, suiting up for 31 games.
“Nolan worked hard through an early season injury and gave us great depth down the stretch.I think his game will transition well to college because of his size and physical play. We wish all the best to Nolan as he takes this next step in his hockey career,” stated Toros Head Coach Mark Hicks.
Christy is the 8th player to commit from the Toros this season.
