The Alexandria Blizzard have won eight in a row

Norwich 3 @ Maine 2 - The Norwich Sea Captains took down the Maine Nordiques on Saturday by a score of 3-2. Genrikh Rozhkov got the Nordiques on the board first with his sixth of the season. Tony Morran tied things up at one just seconds into middle frame before Andrew Fischer scored his first of the year in the opening minute of the third to give Norwich their first lead. Glen Farmer increased the lead for the Sea Captains and it proved to be the game winner as Connor Morissette got the Nords within one late but it wouldn’t be enough. Peter Alfano got the win with 30 saves while Ayden Linville suffered the loss stopping 30 shots.

Texas R 2 @ Louisiana 8 - Three different Drillers had multi goal games as Louisiana dominated the RoadRunners 8-2. Max Workman, Brody Neish and Cameron McEwan all found the back of the net twice while Jayden Hitt and Jackson Lord both got on the scoreboard. Skylar Bawcom netted both goals for Texas in the loss. Cole Schmidt stopped 20 of 22 shots while Hunter Houle was busy, finishing with 50 saves.

Willmar 4 @ Minnesota W 1 - Zane Irion and Aidan Callaghan would both tickle the twine twice as the Willmar WarHawks knocked off the Minnesota Wilderness by a score of 4-1. Keegan Montgomery and Timothy Vaculik both registered two helpers. Tyler Starch provided all the offense for the Wilderness in the loss. Josh Mack was nearly perfect as he turned aside 22 of 23 shots on goal. Pierson Haislet was saddled with the loss as he finished with 41 saves.

Peoria 0 @ Wausau 8 - Truman Zerse, Jake Garrow and John Kriz all had three points on the night as the Cyclones cruised to a 8-0 win over the Peoria Mustangs. Frank Goodman had a goal and an assist while Jack Dawley, Eiji Hofmann and Alec Mellon all got on the scoresheet for Wausau. Brady Faille earned the shutout in net as he denied all 25 shots he faced. Albert Ancinec and Charlie Maquet combined to make 37 saves for the Mustangs.

Mason City 1 @ Alexandria 6 - The Alexandria Blizzard extended their win streak to eight  after defeating the Mason City Toros by a score of 6-1. 11 players were able to find their way onto the scoresheet as top scorers Eli Fletcher and Ashton Collings lead the way offensively. Both players were able to rack up three points during 60 minutes as Collings scored one goal and tallied two assists while Fletcher scored a pair of goals in addition to notching one assist. It is worth noting that both of Fletcher’s goals coming during the final frame, his 10th and 11th goals of the season.

Tulsa 0 @ New Mexico 6 - The New Mexico Ice Wolves keep on rolling, picking up another demanding victory over the Tulsa Jr. Oilers. The Ice Wolves tallied two goals a period during their victory with six different players finding the back of the net. Not only did New Mexico pull from depth scoring, they also put up a whopping 62 shots on goal. With this win, the Ice Wolves extend their record to 9-1-0-0 in their last 10 games.

Wisconsin 2 @ West Bend 3 (OT) - The West Bend Power found their way back into the win column after taking down the Wisconsin Woodsmen in overtime. The Power opened up scoring 13:31 into the first frame as Danny Jurcich tallied his first goal of the season to put his team on the board. Vincent Greene would respond for the Woodsmen moments later to tie things up and close out the first 20 minutes. The second period was rather quiet as the Woodsmen scored the lone goal of the period, putting themselves up 2-1 entering the final frame. Just when things looked to be ending in Wisconsin’s favor, William McDonald banked home a goal with 45 seconds left in regulation to tie things up for the Power, forcing overtime. It would be Jace Fitzgerald who would find the back of the net in OT, scoring his second game winning goal of the 2024-25 campaign.

Minnesota M 5 @ Granite City 3 - Granite City threw the kitchen sink at the Moose on Saturday night. They vastly outshot the visitors and received more power play time. The Lumberjacks took nearly 50 shots in this game, in fact. But Minnesota took a 3-1 lead into the first intermission and did not look back. Cooper Langley stopped 44 of the 47 shots he faced while Luke Steffen scored two goals and added an assist. The Moose skated away with a 5-3 win despite taking fewer than 18 shots on goal.

Texas B 9 @ Atlanta 0 - Texas and Atlanta played a rather intense game, with the teams combining for 18 power play chances. Atlanta received 10 of these chances, but failed to score on a single man advantage. They went on to score zero goals throughout the game as the Brahmas dominated on Saturday night. Forward Chase Forry scored two goals and five points against the Capitals. The Brahmas received a two-goal performance from forward Carter Kotrba, as well. Goaltender Dillon Zimmerman turned aside all 21 shots he faced in the win.

Great Falls 1 @ Helena 0 - It was a close and intense affair between these teams on Saturday. They combined for nearly 70 penalty minutes between them. Ultimately, the man advantages did not play a direct role in the outcome. Great Falls emerged victorious over the Bighorns on Saturday night. Americans forward Blayne Jusczak scored the deciding goal at 4:19 into the final frame. Goaltender Kaden Rhyder closed the door at his end of the ice, making 47 crucial saves against Helena.

Badlands 2 @ Gillette 1 - Badlands and Gillette kept it close for the entirety of their Saturday night showdown. The two teams relied on a second-period back-and-forth to determine the outcome. The Sabres were the ones who came away with the decisive blow. Kyyan Jahner and Gavin Marx scored for Badlands as they defeated the Wild on the road. Sabres goaltender Lochlin Jackson made 26 saves in the game to aid in the victorious effort, as well.

Bozeman 5 @ Butte 4 - Pucks were flying on this contest as both teams took more than 50 shots each. In fact, the Irish only needed six seconds to open their account on the night. Toby Kerr gave Butte the lead on their home ice. But Bozeman eventually established a 2-1 lead heading into the intermission. Butte again scored less than a minute into the period. But they went on to allow two more goals in the second. Kazden Stineff scored in the third for the Irish, though, to force overtime. In the end, however, Spencer Wilkinson’s fifth goal of the season gave the IceDogs a huge overtime win.

Yellowstone 1 @ Sheridan 5 - Yellowstone entered this game still without a win on the 2024-25 season. And unfortunately, they remained without a win once the final horn sounded in Sheridan. The Hawks threw nearly 80 shots on goal against the Quake in this contest. Sheridan scored five times as a result, and skated away with a win as they held Yellowstone to 13 total shots on goal. Forward Josh Serino scored a goal and two assists to lead the effort offensively for the hosting Hawks.
