Moose, WarHawks, Wilderness Grab Wednesday Wins
Mason City 2 @ Minnesota W 4 - Jeff Silvon could not be stopped as his hat trick set the tone for the Minnesota Wilderness in a 4-2 win over the Mason City Toros. Casey Conteras netted the other tally for the Wilderness. Parker McInroy and Luca Salak provided the offense for Mason City. Pierson Haislet was busy all night long as he finished with 38 saves to pick up the win in between the pipes. Drew Blake suffered the loss on the other end with 32 saves.
Willmar 3 @ Alexandria 2 (OT) - The Willmar WarHawks are heading to Thanksgiving with a win under their belt as they beat the Alexandria Blizzard 3-2 in overtime. Gabriel Adams and John Dube traded goals in the opening 12 minutes of the second period. Then it was Ashton Collings and Timothy Vaculik traded goals to give us a 2-2 game after 20 minutes. The game would remain scoreless all the way to overtime where 41 seconds into the extra frame, Jett Wheeler netted his third of the season to deliver the win to the WarHawks. Kai Girard was given the win as he made 32 saves on the evening. Chase Broady took home the loss as he made 27 stops for the Blizzard.
Minnesota M 2 @ Granite City 1 (OT) - The Minnesota Moose won their fourth in a row and third straight against Granite City as they took home a 2-1 decision in overtime on Wednesday night. After going nearly halfway through the game scoreless, Ty Smith potted his ninth of the season to give Granite City the lead. Bryce Laager tied the game just over five minutes into the third period and then it was Reid Watson on the breakaway in overtime to seal the win for the Moose. It was his eighth goal of the 2024-25 campaign. Reigning West Division Star of the Week, Dylan Posch was excellent yet again as he made 38 saves to gather the win. Nick Hansen was given the loss as he finished the night with 26 saves for the Lumberjacks.
