Saturday Scores: Helena Punches Playoff Ticket
West Bend 6 @ St. Louis 1 - Jackson Hoem had two goals to lead the West Bend Power to their seventh consecutive victory, beating the St. Louis Jr. Blues by a score of 6-1. Teagan Scheurer, Evan Eisch, Quinn O’Connor and Odin Klebba scored for West Bend while Eric Denny provided all the offense for St. Louis.
Long Beach 3 @ Binghamton 9 - Carson Curry registered a hat trick to lead the Binghamton Buzz to a 9-3 win over the Long Beach Sharks. Griffin Gagnon and Mason Wright each had two goals for Binghamton while Preston Peterson and Ethan Miller also tallied goals for the Buzz. Sam O’Neil notched a hat trick of his own for Long Beach.
New Mexico 10 @ Tulsa 1 - Carson Gotelaere, Issa Murakamim, Liam Mooney and Kyle Mackintosh each potted a pair of goals for the New Mexico Ice Wolves as they defeated Tulsa 10-1. Brant Tiedeman and Jake Wenner also got on the scoresheet as well for the Ice Wolves. Brayden Hagemann had the only goal for Tulsa.
Texas R 2 @ Austin 1 - The Texas RoadRunners kept their playoff chances alive with a 2-1 win over the Austin Ice Bats on Saturday night. Jackson Cox and Joseph Izzo provided the goals for Texas while Hunter Houle was amazing, stopping 44 of 45 shots. Arys Perardi netted the only tally for the Ice Bats.
Peoria 0 @ Rochester 8 - Isaac Flatley scored a hat trick while Aiden Emerich potted a pair of goals of his own in the Grizzlies 8-0 win over the Peoria Mustangs. Tyler Steuck and Baylor Stebbins also scored for the Grizzlies. Austin Durkop was a perfect 19 for 19 in between the pipes.
Wisconsin 3 @ Wausau 4 - A pair of third period goals from Jake Garrow and Landon Bechtolt helped the Wausau Cyclones keep their win streak alive as they beat the Wisconsin Woodsmen 4-3. Bechtolt tallied two goals on the night while John Kriz also scored for the Cyclones. Charles Murray, Johnny Thrasher and Cole Schreiber all scored for the Woodsmen.
Minnesota M 3 @ Alexandria 5 - Two goals from Caleb Waller led the Blizzard to a 5-3 win over the Moose and put an end to Minnesota’s 10 game winning streak. Markus Olson, Zach Benson and Ashton Collings all found the back of the net for the Blizzard. Luke Steffen, Xavier Toll and Wyatt Hoepfl all got on the board for the Moose.
Minnesota W 2 @ Granite City 9 - Dominic Thomas had two goals for the Granite City Lumberjacks to a 9-2 win over the Minnesota Wilderness. Finn Greeley, Gavin Forrest, Colton Wassengeso, Easton Sankey, Parker Comstock, Reece Gronseth and Caleb Anderson all put the puck in the back of the net for Granite City. Tyler Webb and Cooper Ellena were the goal scorers for the Wilderness.
Louisiana 8 @ El Paso 1 - Alexander Thomas and Brendan Johnson led the way with two goals each for the Louisiana Drillers as they defeated the El Paso Rhinos 8-1. Max Workman, Dayton Ruppel, Brody Neish and Gavin Brown also scored for the Drillers. Jake Bamback provided the only goal for El Paso.
Butte 3 @ Helena 5 - Finn Theriault scored twice as the Helena Bighorns clinched their spot in the 2025 Fraser Cup playoffs with a 5-3 win over Butte. Colin Becker, Jeffrey Hershberger and Cam Young all contributed goals in the victory for the Bighorns. Loghan Weber, Andrew Browe and Jeremiah Campbell all notched goals for the Irish in a losing effort.
Yellowstone 3 @ Gillette 11 - Brady Johnson had a hat trick and added three assists as the Gillette Wild dominated the Yellowstone Quake 11-3. Tai Kontrec had two goals and three assists of his own. Riley Schmidt, Brady McGinn, Dylan Peterson, Houston Friesen, Jeremiah Menger and Zach Lebens all visited the red light district for the Wild. Tucker Sarkisian had two goals for the Quake while Cayden May also tallied a goal in the loss.
Badlands 5 @ Sheridan 4 (SO) - The Badlands Sabres overcame a two goal deficit to earn the win against the Sheridan Hawks in a shootout 5-4. Derrek Laite, Zach Longnecker and Vlad Zubriichuk sandwiched a Thayne Coston goal to put Sheridan up 3-1. Dawson Wirth and Rylan Salo scored in 26 second span to tie the game for the Sabres. Zach Vockler gave Badlands the lead early in the third period but Zubriichuk’s second goal of the night with 11 seconds left tied the game for Sheridan to force overtime. In the shootout, Wirth netted the only tally while Oger Hunter stopped all three shooters he faced to give Badlands the extra point.
