RoadRunners defenseman Morganti makes NCAA Commitment

The Texas RoadRunners of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that defenseman Sam Morganti has committed to play NCAA DIII hockey for the newly established program at Hiram College. 

Morganti, 20, made a thrilling late arrival to the RoadRunners roster, joining the Texas squad in mid-January. Despite the late start, he quickly made his mark, appearing in 18 games and tallying 8 assists, with a standout performance on February 9th against the Atlanta Capitals, where he dished out two assists in that high-energy matchup.

Proving himself as an immediate impact player, Morganti earned the honor of representing his team at the prestigious NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament. Suiting up for Team Yellow, he played in two games and added another assist to his growing resume.

“Sam joined our team midway through the season and wasted no time making his presence felt. From the moment he arrived, he brought energy, dedication, and a strong work ethic that quickly earned the respect of his teammates and coaches alike. His commitment to the game and to personal growth has been evident every step of the way, and this next chapter in his hockey journey is a true reflection of the kind of player and person he is. Sam has worked incredibly hard to earn this opportunity, and we couldn’t be prouder to have had him wear the RoadRunner jersey,” stated RoadRunners’ Coach Sam Romutis.

Prior to his junior career, Morganti spent two seasons in the NAPHL at both the 16U and 18U levels. 

Morganti is one of two players from the RoadRunners to make a college commitment this season.
