Grizzlies Assistant Captain Woods makes college commitment

The Rochester Grizzlies of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that Assistant Captain Tommy Woods has committed to play college hockey for West Virginia University.
Woods, 21, is heading back to his home state of West Virginia to join the Mountaineers. Over the past two seasons, he skated with the Granite City Lumberjacks and, most recently, and most notably, the Rochester Grizzlies. Across 81 league appearances, Woods racked up 44 points, including 17 goals and 27 assists.
His standout performance came on February 7th against the Woodsmen, when he recorded a goal and two assists. He also enjoyed productive stretches, including point streaks of four and five games. In one four-game span, he notched six points, showcasing his offensive consistency.
Woods is the one of three players from the Grizzlies to make a college commitment this season.
