Lumberjacks forward Dunaiski makes NCAA Commitment

June 2, 2025

The Granite City Lumberjacks of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward Patty Dunaiski has committed to play NCAA DIII hockey for Concordia College.

Dunaiski, 20, recently wrapped up his junior hockey career by completing his second season in the NA3HL with the Granite City Lumberjacks. A native of Cloquet, MN, Dunaiski is part of a growing pipeline of Minnesota high school players who have found both opportunity and success within the Lumberjacks organization.

Over the course of two seasons, Dunaiski appeared in 66 games and totaled 83 points (28 goals, 55 assists), averaging well over a point per game. His production was steady across both regular seasons, with 30 points in his rookie year and 35 in his second. He ended this year’s regular season on a high note, delivering three straight four-point performances as the Jacks clinched the West Division Regular Season Championship.

Dunaiski carried that momentum into the Fraser Cup Playoffs, where he elevated his game to another level, amassing an impressive 17 points (7 goals, 10 assists) in just seven games. The highlight of his postseason came on March 21st, when he exploded for five points during a 8-2 victory over the Minnesota Moose. In that standout performance, he recorded a hat trick and added two assists, showcasing both his scoring touch and playmaking ability.

Alongside his NA3HL experience, he also saw time in the NAHL, suiting up for 21 games with the Minnesota Wilderness across both seasons.

“Patty is a great example of the development opportunities our league provides. He spent quite a bit of time in the NAHL while also playing for us in the NA3HL, and he made the most of both experiences. He's the kind of person people naturally gravitate toward, and I have no doubt that will continue to serve him well in the future," stated Jacks’ Head Coach DJ Vold.

Dunaiski is one of three players from the Lumberjacks to make a college commitment this season.
