Capitals goaltender Black makes college commitment

The Atlanta Capitals of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that goaltender Jackson Black has committed to play college hockey for the University of Texas.
Black, 20, is heading back to his home state of Texas to begin his college hockey career with the Longhorns. He capped off his junior career with two seasons in the NA3HL, playing a total of 42 games split between the Long Beach Sharks and, more recently, the Atlanta Capitals.
In the 2024-25 season, Black posted a save percentage above .950 in three separate games. One of those standout performances was his only shutout of the season, which came in the Capitals’ final game, a win over the Tulsa Jr. Oilers in which the 2004-born goaltender stopped all 38 shots he faced.
