Capitals forward Thiessen makes college commitment

The Atlanta Capitals of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that forward Landon Thiessen has committed to play college hockey for the University of North Dakota.
Thiessen, 20, is returning to his home state of North Dakota to kick off his college hockey career with the Fighting Hawks. A seasoned NA3HL player, he spent his entire junior career in the league, most recently suiting up for the Atlanta Capitals. Over three seasons, he played in 130 games and tallied 72 points, including 31 goals and 41 assists.
During the 2024-25 season, the ‘04 forward delivered his standout performance on February 8th in a South Division clash against the Texas RoadRunners. Thiessen stole the spotlight with a hat trick, leading the Capitals to a 5-2 win. One of his three goals proved to be the game-winner, capping off his best outing of the year.
