CEO of El Paso, Cory Herman, will be inducted into El Paso Athletic Hall of Fame

The El Paso Athletic Hall of Fame will induct Cory Herman, the CEO of the El Paso Rhinos. Herman will make history as the first hockey player to be inducted into the El Paso Athletic Hall of Fame.
Herman moved to the Sun City in 1999 from Duval, Saskatchewan, Canada to play for the El Paso Buzzards. After spending a year playing in the desert, Herman made El Paso his home and grew the sport of hockey in the city. He founded the El Paso Hockey Association and helped to secure the funds to build an ice hockey rink. Herman was instrumental in furthering the sport and success of the Rhinos. He served as the Head Coach of the El Paso Rhinos for 15 years before transitioning to the front office staff.
In 2020, El Paso was named the winner of the Hockeyville USA contest. The Rhinos received $150,000 for arena improvements and El Paso got to host an NHL preseason game. His work and dedication to ensuring the sport of hockey grows in the Sun City is why he will be inducted on June 24, 2025.
Herman is the face of hockey in El Paso and with his ownership of an NA3HL and an NAHL team, he has helped athletes get the opportunity to grow and climb the ladder of development that the North American Hockey League promotes.
