Ice Wolves defenseman Gregorin makes NCAA Commitment

The New Mexico Ice Wolves of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) are proud to announce that defenseman Edward Gregorin has committed to play NCAA DIII hockey for Hamline University.
Gregorin, 20, was a familiar presence for fans in Albuquerque, having spent two seasons patrolling the blue line for the Ice Wolves. Over the course of 102 career games, the Eagle River, AK native tallied 66 points (13 goals, 53 assists) and posted an impressive +68 plus-minus rating. He demonstrated notable growth between his first and second seasons, boosting his point total by 10 during the 2024–25 campaign.
This past season in New Mexico, Gregorin emerged as the top-scoring defenseman for the Ice Wolves, recording 10 multi-point games. One of his standout performances came in mid-January, when he played a key role in a three-game sweep of the Texas RoadRunners. Over the weekend series, he contributed five points (two goals, three assists), including a game-tying goal and an assist on the game-winner in a 5–4 comeback victory in game three, helping the Ice Wolves secure six crucial points in the standings.
“We are beyond excited for Edward to take this next step and to open a new chapter in his hockey career playing NCAA hockey. Edward's voice in the room was essential to our success and was a massive part of what made our culture special,” stated Assistant Coach Alex Gilbert. “Every day Gregorin came in with a smile on his face just happy to be playing the game he loves and helped not only at the rink but in the community more than anyone , winning volunteer of the year in the 24-25 season. Which is a testament to his character and is why we know there is a beyond bright future waiting for him. Good luck at Hamline Greggy!”
