3View: Austin Ice Bats

The 3View video series will feature an in-depth look into all NA3HL teams in preparation for the 2025-26 season, with one team being highlighted daily, leading all the way up until the start of the regular season on September 5th. 3View will include interviews with each team’s head coach, as they provide fans with their expectations and outlook for the 2025-26 season.

2025 Playoffs: Eliminated in the first round by the Louisiana Drillers

After a record-setting 2024-25 season that saw the Austin Ice Bats punch their ticket to the Fraser Cup Playoffs for the first time in franchise history, Head Coach Josh Malin is eager to build on that momentum. With a young core that now has postseason experience under its belt and the potential for a large group of returners, the Ice Bats have set a new standard in Austin. As the team continues to grow both on the ice and in the community, there’s a renewed hunger to take the next step and further strengthen the hockey culture in the Texas capital.
